Wardrobi

Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 10, 2026

Wardrobi, operated by Shiplock Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"), provides the Wardrobi Chrome extension and backend service at app.wardrobi.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We use this to create and manage your Wardrobi account.

Person photos. You upload photos of yourself to use as the base for virtual try-on. These photos are stored locally on your device in Chrome extension storage by default. They are sent to our backend only when you generate a try-on image, and are stored server-side alongside generation results for service quality purposes.

Garment images. When you capture clothing from retailer websites, the garment images and associated metadata (product name, retailer, product URL) are stored in your cloud wardrobe on our servers.

Generation results. When you generate a virtual try-on image, we store the input images and output result on our servers to operate the service and improve quality.

Usage data. We collect credit usage, generation history, referral activity, and feedback (thumbs up/down) you provide on results.

Analytics. Wardrobi uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics such as feature usage, try-on events, error rates, and product URLs you interact with to help us understand shopping patterns and improve recommendations. These events are tied to your user ID but do not include your photos or personal details. Mixpanel processes this data on our behalf to help us improve the product. No analytics data is sold or shared with third parties beyond Mixpanel as our analytics processor. You can learn more about how Mixpanel handles data at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

2. How We Use Your Data

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party cloud services to operate Wardrobi, including database hosting, user authentication, file storage, backend hosting, and transactional email delivery. These services process your data only as necessary to provide their functionality to us. We do not sell your data to any third party. The following third-party processors handle user data directly:

4. Cookies

We use a single cookie (wardrobi_ref) to track referral attribution when you visit a shared look or referral link. This cookie expires after 7 days and is used solely to credit the person who referred you.

5. Data Storage & Security

Person photos are stored locally on your device by default. Garment images, wardrobe items, and generation results are stored on our cloud servers. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time through the extension settings. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, including your wardrobe items, generation history, stored images, and anonymizes your referral records. This action is irreversible.

7. Your Rights
